This is the bare minimum of decent human behavior for ANY gender. If you are an adult and someone who is not an adult wants to have a relationship with you, it is your duty to, at bare minimum, turn them away.
and like... having crushes on adults is a Normal Adolescent Thing, but it doesn’t mean they’re ready for--or for that matter, want--an actual relationship with said adult. it’s a goddamn developmental phase for kids working out their sexuality, and treating it as a chance to get laid is fucking monstrous.
Same reason why when a younger kid tries to playfully fight with you, the appropriate response is not to sweep the leg, get them on the ground and then start kicking.
I think we need to have higher standards as transmascs. Yesterday I saw someone saying "my friends told me T is poison but it's not like they discouraged me from transitioning" and friend, I think telling you that the HRT you want is poison counts as discouraging you from transitioning
Attempted discouraging, not necessarily successful discouraging! Either way, that person seriously needs to get better friends.
My current doctor won’t let me go on T because “it’s poison” that will “put me at a higher risk for diseases that men get”. Like yeah, that’s the fucking point. It makes my body more me. If I’m going to get more sick, chronically ill, then let me get dude sick.
Also I have fibro and there is research that indicates the reason it seems to effect women more then men is literally the testosterone! They are trying to understand why, but it doesn’t change the fact that it sure is sounding like T is the answer to so many things I currently have going wrong with my health…
Fuck, I’d be able to off most of my meds if I went on T.
So give me the poison, it seems like my body actually needs it…
I’m going to stop typing now because I am having some realizations about my health and how putting off going on T to deal with said health might have been backwards thinking. Also, I am in the process of getting a new doctor. I have far far more issues with my current doctor than just this issue.
Going on testosterone has actually helped my POTS symptoms a bunch. It's like, the opposite of poison for a lot of us 💜
